Please note that this is a manual treadmill, not a motorized one. Living in a small apartment there really is not room for some large treadmill. About 4 years ago I purchased the Weslo CardioStride Plus Treadmill because of it's low price and smaller size. I definitely wouldn't recommend the Weslo Cardiostride Plus Treadmill to anyone regardless of their activity level because this treadmill will break down.Īs some other reviewers have said, this is a good beginners treadmill. There was a 6 inch crack in the platform under the band. I couldn't find the problem until I started feeling the platform. I immediately stopped and checked the treadmill. 30 seconds into my jog and I heard a loud crack. After walking on it for several days without any problems I decided to do some light jogging on it. It still felt weak when I was on it, but the wobble was gone. I placed another treadmill mat under the right side and it fixed the wobble. After carefully studying the back legs I noticed it had a design flaw on the right side. The band rotation was very smooth, but the constant side to side rocking motion made me nervous. I decided to test out this treadmill by doing some light walking and found it to be terrible. It didn't feel stable at all and had a slight wobble to it despite being on a flat surface. This treadmill states that it can hold 250 lbs and I only weighed 170 lbs at the time so I chalked this up to a poor quality build. The first time I set foot on this treadmill it felt like it was going to collapse. This treadmill is extremely light and a great space saver, but that's about it. I didn't have high expectations for the Weslo Cardiostride Plus Treadmill and I still feel disappointed after using it for a week. It is small and folds up to easily store in a closet or under a bed. Seemed to be pretty durable and held up well the few months I used it. Step on it and start walking! It's manual so your body makes it move. This is best for a walk so it's great if you have bad knees or joints and do not move quickly. The tread moves pretty smoothly but I had a really hard time running on this one. This product was not for me so I gave it away to a family member. This is great for people who just want to walk and not run on their treadmill, or for people that have joint issues and walk slow. It does fold up and stores easily out of the way so that is a plus. The center does show how many miles you have gone but that is about all it shows. It does incline but you have to pick up the tread and move it up or down. This is okay for a manual treadmill, and definitely affordable, but it is just not the same as a nice electric treadmill.
