![]() The 4 bedroom Lodge was our primary gathering place where we shared a dinner each evening after small group activities in the park or town. There was even a large new TV in each cabin and excellent internet access. The cabins had the ambiance of rustic and cozy mountain side cabins, but they were very clean and well equipped with a small kitchen than included a microwave, toaster and electric coffeepot. We stayed in 5 family cabins and the Lodge. Our group included people from 6 states.įor 2 of the nights we had 25 family members ranging in age from 4 to 70. We just got home from a family gathering in Estes Park and the venue provided by Pine Haven contributed to the wonderful times we had together during our 5 night stay. We plan to return back again next summer and will definitely book at Pine Haven again. It goes right up to the top of the mountain and has great views of the area. They are very friendly and will eat peanuts right out of you hands! Very cute! There is a nice hiking trail right on the property we did one day. ![]() ![]() My kids enjoyed their time feeding the small ground squirrels that run all over the grounds. He does weekly cotton candy parties which are fun for the kids. He really cares about your experience and is very helpful in giving directions, suggestions, etc if needed. The owner, George, is very accommodating. We were impressed with the Pine Haven staff. We walked in one day (took about 15-20 minutes to walk it with kids) and it was a nice, scenic walk to the downtown area. A paved bike path runs right in front of the cabins that leads into town. I could let them go off and play without worry. The property is great for children because it is safely back from the road and there is even a playground for them to play on. The Fall River runs trough the property and you hear it rushing by, which is quite relaxing. The cabins are in a nice quiet area back off the street. We also had a great deck with table and grill. We had 2 separate bedroom areas, a small living /eating area and a full kitchen. We stayed with our two children (age 5 and 10) in Cabin 10 the Daniel Boone cabin. We don't like staying in motels so this gave us a more homey experience. This was our first time to the Rocky Mountain area and we chose Pine Haven for it's charm and proximity to the park.
